Here are some of the meal planning tips we’ve gotten so far from the Propel community:

For a healthy snack, wash and cut kale into bite-size pieces, toss them with olive oil and a pinch of sea salt, and bake for 5 minutes.
Adding a quarter onion, a few sliced baby carrots, and a few ounces of cooked meat can turn ramen soup into a nutritious and cost-effective meal.
At the end of every meal, I place leftover vegetables that are too small in quantity to save for another meal and place them in a gallon freezer bag. At the end of about six weeks, I have a variety of ingredients to make what I call leftover soup. By being choosy about what I add to the bag, I can have a vegetable beef soup or a chicken soup or a variety of soups limited only by my family’s tastes and my imagination by adding just a few ingredients.
Shop in your pantry/fridge/freezer before shopping at the store. Sometimes you have all or almost all the ingredients needed for a great meal. Also, get creative and use up odds and ends you have lying around by having a pantry challenge every 3 months or so. You never know, you might just end up finding a new favorite for you and your family!
When you finish a stick of butter, save the wrapper, fold it & put in a Ziploc bag in the freezer. Next time you need to grease a pan pull one out use it and discard!
