Sweepstakes scamming is when someone pretends you have won a big prize or money, but it's a trick to steal your money or personal information. They might ask you to pay a fee or give them your personal details to get the prize, but there is no real prize.

Scammers are eager to take advantage of people who are in need. Here are some tips to look out for to avoid being scammed and how to know if you’ve won.

Congratulations you’ve won! But first, let's verify your win

You've participated in our sweepstakes, and we’re excited to let you know if you've won! To ensure your win is legitimate, remember you will receive a push notification from the Propel app and a notification in your notification center. Legitimate notifications will never ask for your financial information upfront.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Always verify through the Propel app notifications before sharing any information.

Protect your info: Recognize sweepstakes scams

Sweepstakes scammers are active on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, posing as "Propel agents" to get your personal information. We will never contact you through social media to announce a win. Always block and ignore these fraudulent accounts to stay safe.

Someone asking you for Propel login info?

If someone asks for your account information, it’s not us. Propel never requests your email, password, phone number, Social Security number, or PIN to claim your prize. Keep your information secure and never share it.
