My benefits were stolen off my EBT card. What can I do?

Call the Utah EBT hotline number at 1-800-997-4444. Your state may require you to change your PIN, report your card stolen, and/or request a new card.

If your benefits were electronically stolen (e.g., through skimming or phishing) between October 2022–December 20, 2024, you may be eligible to apply for reimbursement. Call the number above to ask about your state's process.

What is EBT card skimming and phishing?

Skimming and phishing scams are on the rise. Scammers hide skimming devices on card machines to steal your EBT information and PIN as you swipe your card, or send fraudulent texts pretending to be the government.
